For the past 58 years, on the occasion of Saint-Marc, the Winegrowers’ Union of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC has held its annual competition, which honors the appellation’s finest wines. The samples are evaluated through blind tastings by a jury of wine professionals (winegrowers, oenologists, technicians, journalists) during two tasting sessions (pre-selection and final round) in April, under the supervision of a bailiff.
This year once again, 43 cuvées were awarded in eight distinct categories, selected from nearly 138 samples presented.
The celebration evening took place at Salle Alphonse Daudet in Orange on April 25, 2025.
Special thanks to journalist and wine critic Thierry Desseauve, who served as patron of this 58th Saint-Marc Competition, and to the Mayor of Orange for hosting us. The dinner gathered 135 guests.
