Terroir
4 Ha vineyard located in Bédarrides, in the south-eastern part of the appellation, on the edge of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s Plateau de la Crau (the quintessential terroir of this AOC). The soil is a mix of sand and clay with many pebbles and flat stones.
Grape varieties
33% Rousanne, 33% Clairette, 33% Grenache (and a bit of picardin)
High quality vines that are around 10-12 years old.
Harvest and Vinification
Hand harvested at night before sunrise to protect the grapes from the day’s heat. Extreme selection occurs at the vineyard and again at reception at the winery. Immediately pressed. Fermentation and one year ageing occurs in French oak barrels.
Yields
28-30 HL/Ha.
