Chateauneuf du Pape is still the most prestigeous appellation from the southern Rhone valley. In 1987 Domaine Saint Gayan had the opportunity of acquiring a small vineyard next to famous estate Beaucastel in the place named "La Janasse". On this unique terroir, Grenache expresses all its potential, mixing the purity of the fruitiness and the softest tannins. We choose to age this wine in "foudres" which gives it its elegance and longevity. across the years it will express complex spicy aromas with grilled notes, musc and undergrowth.
