CHÂTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE ELISABETH CHAMBELLAN - VIEILLES VIGNES - ROUGE 2014
Médaille d'OR - Concours des Grands Vins de France - Macon 2016
16.5/20 – Jancis Robinson (December, 2015) – Tasted blind: Smudgy dark crimson. Round and sweet with macerated rose-petal aromas. Then it is not so opulent on the finish but offers lots of sweet fruit on the palate.
90-92 pts – Vinous (February 2016) – Josh Raynolds: Brilliant ruby-red. Assertive blackberry, cherry cola and floral pastille scents are complemented by exotic notes of incense and apricot. An array of sappy dark fruit and pungent spice flavors gain vivacity with air and pick up a smoky mineral nuance. Finishes smooth, sweet and very long, leaving behind juicy dark berry and candied lavender notes.

- Concours des Vignerons Indépendants 2016
- Concours des Grands Vins de France à Macon 2016
16/20 – Jancis Robinson (December, 2015) – Tasted blind: Pinkish purple. Quite marked acidity and very tightly clenched fruit. Grainy tannins. Sweet, lightly warm finish.
89-91 pts – Vinous (February 2016) – Josh Raynolds: Smoky cherry and raspberry preserve aromas show very good energy, and suggestions of licorice and garrigue add complexity. Lush and creamy in texture, offering appealingly sweet red and dark berry liqueur and floral pastille flavors and a spicy hint of cracked pepper. The smoky quality comes back on a persistent, gently sweet finish framed by chewy, slow-building tannins.
