An exceptional edition in the Jura

On October 4, 2025, the Jura hosted the new edition of the World Tasting Championship, organized by La Revue du vin de France. A major event in the oenological calendar, which brought together 43 national teams, a record, from all over the world: Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, Brazil, among others. This prestigious competition, which took place in the unique setting of the Fort des Rousses, was marked by a thrilling final, concluded by the victory of the French team, supported by several partners, including the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

The tests

Each team, made up of four tasters led by a captain, had to blindly identify 12 wines by determining their grape variety, country, appellation, vintage and producer. An exercise in precision, sensory memory and team cohesion, which
requires a specialized knowledge of the wine world. The events were preceded by conferences and tastings, offering a moment of sharing and exchange between enthusiasts and international experts. The candidates, confirmed sommeliers, enlightened amateurs or young talents, competed closely to represent their country on the world stage.

The partners

Organized in an emblematic place, the Fort des Rousses, vast fortification of the Second Empire now converted into a refining site for more than 140,000 millstones of Juraflore county, the event attracted a large audience fascinated by the level of requirement and the intensity of the competition.
The event was able to count on the support of many partners: JuraFlore, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château Dauzac, Vignobles Edonis, Spiegelau, Fruitière Vinicole Arbois, Wine & Co, Champagne Ayala, Château Capet Guillier and Domaine Lafage.

The 2026 edition will take place in Avignon and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
