In the beginning, a Roman temple is at the origin of a promising farming pattern. Later in the 14th century, a Priory, heart of monastic activity saw the first vineyards in this area named the “Little Gigognan”, at the service of Papacy based in Avignon at that time.
Now restored, Chateau Gigognan drives 40 ha of vineyards in Châteauneuf du Pape (organic ECOCERT labelled) and 42 ha of Cotes du Rhone in (Sustainable label Terra Vitis) It also offers a setting like no other to wine lovers thanks to Oenotourism events since 2012.
