After its initial release on April 21, 2023, on the Apple TV+ platform, the series “Les Gouttes de Dieu” is coming to public service television through France 2, starting Monday, May 27, 2024, for widespread broadcast.
Adapted from the eponymous manga by Tadashi Agi & Shu Okimoto, which has sold over 15 million copies worldwide and 1.4 million copies in France alone, this series promises to captivate wine enthusiasts and fans of family dramas.
Synopsis: The wine world mourns the death of Alexandre Léger, a prominent wine critic. His daughter Camille, with whom he had lost contact, discovers that she inherits his exceptional wine collection. However, to claim this inheritance, she must surpass Issei, Alexandre’s protege, in a competition testing their senses.
The series was filmed in various iconic locations in France. The Perrin family, at Château de Beaucastel, hosted the filming of several episodes, with the wines and terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape being central to the plot!
The series will be broadcast on France 2 on Monday, May 27, starting at 9:10 PM, and will be available in its entirety from May 20 on France TV.
