Domaine du Banneret is, above all, a story of family and transmission. Every gesture, from the vineyard to the cellar, is guided by the respect for ancestral traditions handed down by our elders. More than just a profession, it is a deep-rooted connection to this exceptional terroir.
Mirroring the high standards shared by all winemakers in our appellation, we make it a point of honor to preserve the identity of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Producing a single, unique cuvée means imposing a constant rigor upon ourselves to offer an authentic wine—a faithful witness to our passion and a guardian of the heritage we will pass on tomorrow.
The Art of Co-planting (Complantation)
Contrary to the modern trend of parcel selection, Domaine du Banneret preserves the ancestral tradition of co-planting. This practice ensures consistent harvests by establishing a complex, naturalist ecosystem. Across our 9 parcels, all 13 grape varieties (both red and white) coexist and are harvested together. This diversity creates a natural synergy:
Red varieties provide structure, color, and power.
White varieties are the secret to our balance. They infuse a rare freshness, natural acidity, and a floral aromatic complexity that sublimates the wine’s elegance.
A Quest for Perfection: The Unique Cuvée
Our approach is uncompromising: we produce only one single cuvée per year. We refuse to divide our terroir into multiple labels. By blending all our “lieux-dits” and our 13 grape varieties into a single lot, we offer the most complete, richest, and most honest expression of the vintage.
